Korean Conglomerate Invests VND 6,300 Billion to Build Battery Materials Plant in Vietnam

According to Korean media reports, POSCO Future M, a battery materials company, has secured a contract worth approximately KRW 1 trillion (equivalent to USD 668 million) to supply battery materials to a global automotive manufacturer, as announced on March 16.

Under the five-year agreement (2027–2032), POSCO Future M will supply artificial graphite anode materials—an essential component in electric vehicle batteries—to an undisclosed partner.

The plant will be built on a site capable of supporting production capacity of up to 55,000 tons, with further phased expansion planned as additional orders come in.

 

Dutch semiconductor giant to build $1 billion production facility in Vietnam

Dutch chipmaking equipment supplier BE Semiconductor Industries NV (Besi) has revealed its plan to invest approximately $100 billion investment in many new advanced packaging fabs in 2026, including $1 billion in Vietnam.

The Dutch company established a production facility in Vietnam in 2024 to expand its capabilities in alignment with customer roadmaps as many move their operations from China to Southeast Asia. In 2025, the company has completed an expansion of its production facility in the country.

In 2026, Besi plans to invest $26.1 billion in Taiwan,$9.1 billion in South Korea, $6.3 billion in China, and $6 billion in India. In Southeast Asia, the company plans a $7 billion investment in Singapore and a $1.3 billion investment in Malaysia.

 

Bac Ninh: YDP Steel Invests in New Factory at Yen Phong II-A Industrial Park

On March 18, 2026, the signing ceremony for the YDP Steel factory construction project was held in Hanoi.

The YDP Steel factory is located at Lot CN4B-6, Yen Phong II-A Industrial Park, Tam Giang Commune, Bac Ninh Province. The project covers a total land area of 21,600 square meters, with a total floor area of 12,577 square meters. The project is invested by YDP Vina Co., Ltd.

 

Bac Ninh: Fulian Precision Technology raises capital by $38 mln

According to Vietnam’s National Business Registration Portal, the company increased its charter capital from VND8.48 trillion ($322.51 million) to VND9.12 trillion ($347.04 million) in January 2026, before raising it again to VND9.46 trillion ($359.69 million) in February.

The company primarily manufactures communications equipment. Its product range includes network cards, switches, digital receivers, display cards, memory modules, routers, Wi-Fi access points, video conferencing devices, base station equipment, sensors, security system components, and satellite antenna parts.

 

Da Nang: Construction Resumes on 3.7-Hectare Factory Project

On the morning of March 18, the groundbreaking restart ceremony for the QNT factory project, invested by Yourz Co., Ltd. (South Korea), was held at Doi 30 Industrial Cluster (located in Chien Dan and Phu Ninh communes).

The QNT factory project has a total investment of approximately USD 9 million and is being developed on an area of over 3.7 hectares. Once operational, the facility is expected to reach a production capacity of around 1.5 million products per year, with main product lines including tents, mattresses, suitcases, and bags, creating employment for approximately 1,500 workers.

 

Hue: Inaugurates New Truck Plant, Targets 20,000 Vehicles a Year and Regional Exports

On March 17, Kim Long Motor held the inauguration ceremony for its new truck manufacturing plant at the Kim Long Motor Hue automobile production and assembly industrial zone, alongside the launch of new Kim Long–branded truck models.

According to Kim Long Motor, the truck plant is built on 10 hectares and equipped with modern production lines featuring a high level of automation and advanced global technologies.

Dong Nai: Groundbreaking Ceremony for Ryder Industries Vietnam Factory

On March 10, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Ryder Industries Vietnam factory project was held at Long Thanh Industrial Park, Dong Nai Province.

According to announced information, the project has a total investment of approximately USD 20 million and covers an area of over 2.2 hectares.

The factory is expected to expand electronic manufacturing capacity while attracting additional investment flows into Dong Nai—one of the leading industrial hubs in Southern Vietnam.

 

Tay Ninh: Groundbreaking Ceremony for GAMA Paint Factory

On March 15, 2026, Gama Manufacturing Co., Ltd. officially broke ground on its paint factory at Nam Thuan Industrial Park, My Hanh Commune, Tay Ninh Province, marking a new milestone in the local company’s production expansion strategy.

The investment in the factory not only enhances the company’s production capacity but also enables the development of high-quality water-based paint products, catering to a wide range of applications from residential to commercial projects.

Tây Ninh: Groundbreaking Ceremony for Brotex (Vietnam) Colored Yarn Factory – Phase 4

On the morning of March 18, 2026, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Brotex (Vietnam) Colored Yarn Factory – Phase 4 project was held at Phuoc Dong Industrial Park, Gia Loc Ward, Tay Ninh Province.

The project is being developed on a land area of 3.5 hectares.

 

Hung Yen: Groundbreaking Ceremony for VND 4,000 Billion Waste-to-Energy Plant

On the afternoon of March 6, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Phu Cu Waste-to-Energy Plant project was held in Hung Yen Province. The project is invested by CNTY – EUZY Group through Thien Y – Huy Anh Environmental Energy Joint Stock Company.

According to the investor, the Phu Cu Waste-to-Energy Plant will be developed on an area of approximately 7 hectares in Doan Dao Commune, with a waste treatment capacity of around 1,600 tons per day. The facility is designed to generate about 40 MW of electricity, with a total investment of approximately VND 4,000 billion.

On February 28, 2026, the groundbreaking ceremony for the HIGHWAY VINA Factory Construction Project took place at Que Vo II Industrial Park, Bac Ninh Province.

The factory will cover an area of 18,500 square meters and specialize in the production of wooden furniture. This project represents an expansion of HIGHWAY VINA’s manufacturing operations, following the company’s existing development at Minh Quang Industrial Park, Hung Yen Province.

On March 14, 2026, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Stepwell Technology factory project was held in Tay Ninh.

Hai Phong: Biel Crystal Expands Production with New Factory

On March 10, 2026, the Factory No.5 project of Biel Crystal officially broke ground at An Phat 1 Industrial Park, Hai Phong, Vietnam.

According to the master plan, the project is located on a site of approximately 20 hectares and is designed to expand the company’s production capacity for optical components and related products.

After completion, the factory is expected to produce annually:
• Nearly 121 million glass products
• Over 121 million optical devices and instruments
• Around 154 million plastic products
• Sorting and inspection of nearly 123 million glass panel products

The expansion is expected to strengthen the production capacity and high-tech component supply chain in Hai Phong, while continuing to attract supporting industries in the electronics and optical sectors.

Tay Ninh: Groundbreaking Ceremony for ESG Logistics and Manufacturing Center

On March 19, 2026, Long Hau Corporation officially broke ground on the Long Hau LEED Park project at Long Hau Industrial Park (Tay Ninh).

The project is developed within Long Hau Industrial Park 3 (Phase 1), featuring a four-story facility with a total floor area of approximately 56,000 square meters. It is designed to serve industries such as electronics, medical devices, precision engineering, logistics, and research and development.

Notably, Long Hau LEED Park is built under a “ready-to-operate” concept, allowing businesses to move in and begin operations immediately, supported by a dual-purpose factory model and dedicated one-on-one support services.

 

Can Tho: Groundbreaking Ceremony for Vinh Thanh Industrial Park Project – Phase 1

On March 11, 2026, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Vinh Thanh Industrial Park (VSIP Can Tho) Project – Phase 1 was held in Can Tho Province.

Vinh Thanh Industrial Park (Phase 1), developed by VSIP Can Tho Joint Stock Company (VSIP Can Tho), is located in Vinh Trinh Commune, Can Tho City. The project covers an area of 293.7 hectares, with a total investment of approximately VND 3,717 billion.

 

Bac Ninh: Groundbreaking Ceremony for SLP Park Tien Du Project – Phase 1

On the morning of March 20, 2026, the groundbreaking ceremony for the SLP Park Tien Du – Phase 1 project was held at Dai Dong – Hoan Son Industrial Park (Phase II), Dai Dong Commune, Bac Ninh Province.

The project is developed on a land area of over 11 hectares and is designed as a modern industrial and logistics complex, built to meet high operational standards and efficiency optimization.
