On March 11, the groundbreaking ceremony for the project was officially held.
Taihan Cable Vina, a subsidiary of Taihan Cable & Solution, has invested 75 billion won (approximately USD 50.6 million) in the second factory. The facility will have the capability to expand production and manufacture ultra-high-voltage (EHV) power cables of up to 400 kilovolts and is expected to begin operations in 2027.

Currently, Taihan Vina’s factory produces a range of power cables, including high-voltage, medium-voltage, low-voltage, and overhead transmission cables.
In addition to meeting rapidly growing global demand, the company’s production capacity is also targeting the Vietnamese market, where electricity consumption is projected to increase by 10–12% annually through 2030.
Once completed, Vietnam will become Taihan Cable & Solution’s second global production hub for EHV cables, alongside its major manufacturing facility in Dangjin, South Korea. Previously, the group’s first factory in Vietnam—also located in Long Thanh Industrial Park (Dong Nai Province)—has been in operation since 2007.
