FPT Announces the Establishment of an Advanced Semiconductor Chip Testing and Packaging Factory

FPT Group has announced the establishment of an Advanced Semiconductor Chip Testing and Packaging Factory, aiming to strengthen the connectivity of Vietnam’s semiconductor value chain and contribute to the nation’s strategic goals of mastering core and sovereign technologies.

According to FPT, the factory will be located at Yen Phong II-C Industrial Park, in Yen Phong Commune and Tam Giang Commune, Bac Ninh Province. In Phase 1 (2026–2027), the facility will cover 1,600 m², featuring six functional testing lines (ATE testers & handlers) and a dedicated area equipped with multiple reliability and durability testing systems, including Burn-in systems, Reliability Test systems, and Failure Analysis Test systems.

In Phase 2 (2028–2030), FPT plans to expand the factory to approximately 6,000 m² and invest in an additional 18 functional testing lines, three reliability and durability testing zones, and traditional packaging lines (QFN, QFP, DFN). The expansion will also include CSP (Chip Scale Package), WLP (Wafer Level Package), and advanced IC packaging lines, raising the factory’s capacity to billions of units per year.

Groundbreaking Ceremony for BYD Electric Vehicle Battery Factory in Vietnam

On the morning of January 27, at the Kim Long Motor Manufacturing and Assembly Industrial Park in Hue, Kim Long Motor held a strategic cooperation signing ceremony with BYD Battery—a global leader in batteries and new energy vehicles—alongside the groundbreaking ceremony for BYD’s electric vehicle battery manufacturing plant in Hue. The project has a total investment of USD 130 million across two phases.

Under the agreement, Kim Long Motor will invest in the construction of the new energy battery factory, with technical and technology transfer support from BYD Group (China).

USD 12 Million Sports Equipment Factory to Be Developed in Bac Ninh

The FUKO Sports Equipment Factory project (Taiwan-origin) is currently in the design phase at Gia Binh Industrial Park, with a leased land area of 3.3 hectares and a total investment of USD 12 million.

Location: Gia Binh Industrial Park, Bac Ninh Province, Vietnam
Total construction floor area: 39,935 m²

The project was granted its Investment Registration Certificate in early 2025 and is preparing for the next implementation stages.

Groundbreaking Ceremony for Kim Kieu Factory

On January 28, 2026, at My Thuan Industrial Park, Ninh Binh Province, Kam Kiu Aluminum Group held the groundbreaking ceremony for the Kim Kieu Factory Project, which will focus on the production of green aluminum alloy profiles, premium 3C electronic materials, and aluminum automotive components.

The project has a total construction area of nearly 123,000 m² and a total investment exceeding VND 2,292 billion. Upon completion, the factory will manufacture green aluminum alloy profiles, high-end 3C electronic materials, and aluminum components for the automotive industry.

Kam Kiu Aluminum Group, headquartered in Hong Kong, was founded in 1983 and brings over 40 years of experience in aluminum alloys and precision processing. The group supplies products to multiple industries, including electronics, automotive, and construction, with a vertically integrated production system covering billet casting, extrusion, and surface treatment.
 

Inauguration of Conmik Vietnam Waterproofing Materials Factory

Conmik Vietnam Joint Stock Company inaugurated its waterproofing materials manufacturing factory on January 28 at Industrial Park No. 5, Hung Yen Province.

The factory spans over 10,000 m² and is equipped with 10 modern automated production lines, focusing on the manufacture of core waterproofing product lines. Its production capacity includes over 3 million m² per year of bitumen-based waterproofing membranes, more than 2 million m² per year of HDPE/TPO membranes, and approximately 15,000 tons per year of PU and Polyurea-based materials, along with other advanced waterproofing solutions.

Nghe An: Inauguration of An Dong Factory and Phoenix Material Solutions Factory

On December 27, 2025, the inauguration ceremonies for the An Dong Factory and the Phoenix Material Solutions Factory were held in Nghe An Province.

The two-factory complex is developed on a land area of nearly 4 hectares, with a total built-up area exceeding 21,000 m² and a total investment of more than VND 226 billion.

The facilities are equipped with automated machinery and production lines and operate under a closed-loop quality control system. A significant portion of energy used in production comes from renewable sources, including solar power with BESS, biomass pellets, and other sustainable solutions.

The two factories focus on mass production of products such as AAC blocks, ALC panels, ready-mix dry mortar, and construction additives. In addition, there are plans to install a surface treatment and plating line to serve electronic product manufacturing in the next phase.

Century Synthetic Fiber Inaugurates Unitex Factory

On January 23, 2026, Century Synthetic Fiber Joint Stock Company held the inauguration ceremony for the Unitex Factory.

Unitex is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Century Synthetic Fiber. The company has officially completed Phase 1 of the Unitex Factory and commenced operations in early 2026. The project has a total investment of VND 3,379 billion (approximately USD 125 million) across two phases, with Phase 1 investment completed at VND 2,130 billion (approximately USD 78.89 million).

The factory is located at Thanh Thanh Cong Industrial Park, Tay Ninh Province, covering an area of 10 hectares. It has a designed capacity of 60,000 tons of yarn and 15,000 tons of finished fabric per year. Once fully operational, the project is expected to help the company optimize scale advantages, enhance competitiveness, deploy advanced automation technologies, and create approximately 400 new jobs.

Crest Furniture Holding Inaugurates Furniture Manufacturing Factory

On the morning of January 22, Crest Furniture Holding officially inaugurated its furniture manufacturing factory in the former Binh Duong Province.

The factory is located at Ap 4, An Long Commune (former Binh Duong Province), with a total area of 6,200 m² and a designed capacity of up to 50 containers per month. The company focuses on developing bedroom furniture product lines, a segment that accounts for a significant share of hotel, resort, and mixed-use residential projects.

Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Pharaon Plastics Factory Project

On January 27, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Pharaon Plastics Factory construction project was held.

The project is being developed on a land area of over 5 hectares at Taseco Dong Van 3 Industrial Park, Ninh Binh Province. The factory will specialize in premium Zico nano wall panels, Zico locking systems, and a range of products widely used in residential, civil, and commercial construction applications.

Groundbreaking Ceremony for MOVE Vietnam Electric Vehicle Factory No. 3

On January 29, the MOVE Vietnam Electric Vehicle Factory No. 3 project officially broke ground at Industrial Park No. 3, Hung Yen Province. The project is invested by Dong Duong Development Import–Export Co., Ltd.

The factory is located within Ecoland – Hung Yen Industrial Park, with a total site area of over 30,000 m².

MOVE is among the early electric vehicle brands to expand production. This move not only demonstrates the strong momentum of a Vietnamese enterprise, but also reflects the broader positive transformation of the electric vehicle industry—where growth is no longer limited to major international players alone.

Bac Ninh: Inauguration of a Modern Industrial Center

On January 26, 2026, Novaon Jutech officially inaugurated and commenced operations of its Modern Industrial Center at the Jutech Industrial Cluster, old Bac Giang Province.

The center occupies a strategic location with direct connectivity to major transportation corridors, significantly reducing delivery and logistics lead times. With a storage capacity of up to 30,000 m³, the warehouse system is intelligently designed with the following features:
