Farina Opens 14,000 m² Factory in Ho Chi Minh City to Expand F&B Ingredient Capacity

Wednesday, 22 Apr, 2026

Farina has inaugurated a 14,000 m² factory in Ho Chi Minh City to expand food ingredient production for Vietnam’s F&B market. The plant combines manufacturing, R&D, technology and green production, with planned capacity rising to about 36,000 tons per year after five years.

Farina has officially inaugurated its second factory in Ho Chi Minh City, adding a 14,000 m² production base to support long-term growth in Vietnam’s food and beverage industry. The new plant is expected to scale capacity gradually and reach around 36,000 tons per year after five years of operation, strengthening the company’s ability to serve customers that require standardized supply, cost efficiency and dependable production at scale.

The inauguration took place on April 17, 2026, with the participation of Farina’s partners and customers, along with representatives of Tomizawa Shouten Group from Japan and affiliated companies including PT Pondan Indonesia, Cimei Food Malaysia, Bake Laboratory Singapore, Pastry Pro Malaysia, PT Tomizawa Shouten Indonesia and RÓA Midnight Singapore. Guests joined activities including tree planting, product experience sessions, the inauguration ceremony and a factory tour.

A new production platform for a more demanding F&B market

Farina’s new factory comes at a time when Vietnam’s F&B market continues to grow but is becoming more competitive and more clearly segmented. In this environment, demand for ingredients is no longer defined only by quality. Buyers also expect standardization, cost optimization and suitability for large-scale operations.

By putting its second factory into operation, Farina is expanding production capacity to meet changing market requirements and strengthen its position in the supply chain. The plant has been built with integrated infrastructure and production lines aligned with international standards, with a focus on operating efficiency, quality control and manufacturing flexibility. This gives the company a stronger base to respond to increasingly diverse customer needs, expand its market presence and participate more deeply in regional and international supply chains.

More than expansion, a repositioning of supply-chain value

For Farina, the investment is not only about adding floor space. It is also a strategic move to reposition the company’s role in the F&B supply chain. As the market becomes more segmented, F&B businesses are placing greater value on partners that can provide stable supply, long-term support and operational alignment. Competition is therefore shifting from simply delivering products to delivering broader solutions.

With an upgraded production base, Farina is better placed to deepen its role in the value chain, from securing supply to supporting customers in standardization and system expansion. At the ceremony, Shuichi Sato, Director of Tomizawa Shouten Group, Chairman of Holafoods and member of Farina’s Members’ Council, said: “We sincerely appreciate the companionship of our partners and customers – this is the foundation for Farina to continue investing and developing sustainably in Vietnam”.

R&D, technology and green production as growth drivers

The Ho Chi Minh City factory also integrates a research and development center, helping Farina strengthen innovation capabilities and develop products that match market trends. Alongside that, investment in technology and quality control systems is intended to improve standardization, consistency and production efficiency.

The factory is also oriented toward green production, with an emphasis on optimizing resource use and reducing environmental impact. This combination of technology, R&D and sustainable manufacturing creates a foundation for future growth in both domestic and international markets. Beyond Farina’s own expansion goals, the new facility also reflects the company’s long-term commitment to Vietnam through job creation, manufacturing activity and contributions to local industry development.
