Continental has officially broken ground on its new flax yarn manufacturing project at Tan Hoi 1 Industrial Cluster in Tay Ninh, adding fresh momentum to industrial investment activity in the province.

The groundbreaking ceremony took place on April 1, 2026, shortly after the project was granted its Investment Registration Certificate on March 31, 2026. The event signals that the project has moved quickly from approval to on-site implementation, giving investors and market observers a clearer view of how new industrial projects are advancing in Tay Ninh.

The project is named Continental Flax Yarn Manufacturing Factory and is being developed by Continental (Tan Chau) Co., Ltd. at Lot A9, Tan Hoi 1 Industrial Cluster, Tan Hoi Commune, Tay Ninh Province, Vietnam.

According to the approved investment information, the factory will produce yarn with a designed capacity of 1,839 tons per month. The project covers a land area of 28,728.9 square meters.

  • Mobilized capital: VND 443.496 billion, equivalent to US$17 million, accounting for 85 percent

This capital scale makes the project a notable new addition to Tay Ninh’s industrial base, especially within the textile and yarn manufacturing segment.

The investor is Continental (Tan Chau) Co., Ltd., an enterprise already registered in Tay Ninh.

From an investment perspective, this is worth noting because it reflects continued participation from Chinese-linked manufacturers in Vietnam’s production landscape, especially in industrial clusters that can support factory development and long-term operations.

What is the project timeline?

The approved implementation schedule shows a clear development roadmap:

  • Construction period: from April 2026 to April 2027
