In this interview, we’re going to meet with Mr. Emil (葉子恆) – a dynamic force at the intersection of entrepreneurship, education, and international business development.

With a passion for turning ideas into action, Emil is a global connector who empowers visionaries and businesses to seize opportunities across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area—one of the world’s most vibrant economic regions. Whether through strategic teaching, executive training, or project-based collaborations, he thrives on helping others bring their visions to life.

Currently leading initiatives at the University of Saint Joseph’s Executive Training and Lifelong Learning Office (ETLLO), Emil bridges academic excellence with real-world impact.

Interviewer: If you had just 3–5 lines to describe yourself, what would you want people to remember about you?

International business developer and global connector through entreprenuership and education!

 

Interviewer:  What sparked your journey into your current industry or profession? Was it by choice, chance, or calling?

I wanted an exciting project based initiative where I could choose my own projects and interests.  I also like to work with people to develop ideas and implement them!  That's why I am currently teaching entrepreneurship and linking businesses to opportunities in the Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao Greater Bay Area!

 

Interviewer: What core values have guided your decisions throughout your career?

Innovation and sustainable development

 

Interviewer: Can you describe your area of expertise and your current role in a concise way?

I connect the opportunities of the Greater Bay Area through teaching strategic management and corporate training development.

 

Interviewer: Among your achievements or contributions, which 1–2 do you consider the most meaningful – and why?

The continual development of undergraduate and graduate students through our programmes and provide business learning and matching opportunities to our students and businesses alike.

 

Interviewer: What type of problems or challenges do people/companies often come to you for help with?

Usually people come to me with a vision and I help them to get there!

 

Interviewer: Are there any common misconceptions people have about your industry or your work that you’d like to clarify?

Many people think that we are looked inside a ivory tower doing our own thing and losing touch with the business world.  At the business school - we connect with real world businesses to solve real life issues!

 

Interviewer: Who do you want to connect with more through this platform? 

Entrepreneurial and business opportunities for both myself and my students and network!
