KURZ Vietnam has broken ground on Phase 2 of its manufacturing facility at Becamex VSIP Bình Định Industrial Park, adding 25 million square meters of annual production capacity with an additional investment of approximately VND 830 billion. The expansion reinforces the company’s long-term commitment to Vietnam and its confidence in the country’s industrial growth potential.
The Phase 2 project will increase KURZ Vietnam’s output by 25 million m² of products per year and is scheduled for completion by the end of 2028. This expansion builds on the company’s initial investment and marks a major step in scaling its production footprint in Vietnam.
Once operational, the project is expected to enhance workforce quality, stimulate the development of supporting industries, and contribute to the broader economic growth of Gia Lai province.
In addition to manufacturing expansion, the project will introduce key service capabilities, including programming, software production, IT consulting, and infrastructure management. These additions will increase the technological and knowledge content across the company’s value chain.
By integrating these capabilities, KURZ aims to accelerate digital transformation, streamline operational processes, improve productivity, and enhance product quality, while strengthening its ability to respond to global market fluctuations.
At the groundbreaking ceremony, Managing Director Waegner Thomas Fritz emphasized that the expansion reflects both increased production capacity and a long-term partnership with the local community. The strategic decision demonstrates confidence in Vietnam’s investment environment, regional potential, and the capabilities of the local workforce.
He noted that Phase 2 goes beyond constructing a new factory, focusing instead on enhancing overall operational performance, improving reliability, and building a foundation for future technological development. The company also reaffirmed its commitment to sustainable development, safety, and responsible growth.

KURZ previously inaugurated its Phase 1 factory on September 8, 2023, at the same industrial park. This initial project, with a total investment of USD 40 million, has a production capacity of 15 million m² per year, focusing on Luxor and Alufin films.
